Thought

TL;DR: I quit smoking. It’s day five of being a non-smoker and I feel zero cravings. Smoking addiction has two sides - physical and mental. The physical part is minor, easy to tolerate. The real trap is mental: the habit of lighting up after food, with coffee, while drinking. Overcoming it means practicing every day to unlearn the idea that you love smoking in those moments, and to relearn the truth - you actually hate it, the way you did as a child. No one should attempt quitting until they’ve worked on that mental conditioning, because I think mental cravings is why everybody spirals back.
